Whoa, color!

I mean, sure, I'm guilty of this, too. But at least I try.

Don't worry, I found them later

Ok Chicago, you have bad winters. We get it. Now cut it out.

The College Years

In college, my tablet skills have continued to gradually improve, even as my grades have not.

I maintain that Harrison Ford is a hunka hunka burning love.

I bake things a lot. I also put rum into recipes which in no way call for it.

This is a running theme in my test-taking life. Here are two other examples:

Late High School: The Coming of The Tablet

Somewhere along the line I got a cheap Wacom tablet and started drawing directly into photoshoppe. Unfortunately, tablet drawing can have a rather steep learning curve:

Vital to virtually all of my comics has been the participation of Matt.

His expression in panel two is exquisite.

I've been drawing on this tablet for well over 3 years now. Someone please buy me a Cintiq.

Cleaning House

I feel I should post some representative work from my formative years, so get ready to take a ride on the Bob Train: destination Sexytown.

Early High School:
I can't really pinpoint when I drew these, but logic would place them sometime during either freshman or sophomore year. They feature (among other things) the rise of two classic characters: crime-fighting duo Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels.

In retrospect, I'm not sure how I managed to escape a visit to the school psychiatrist.

I just want it recorded that I foresaw the Geiselle Incident years before it happened.

Genesis 1:1

In the beginning, there was a high school freshman named Bob. During history class, Bob decided to draw some stick figures with rocket launchers who swore a lot. This was The Way.

From those humble beginnings rose the glory of Bob, now a college junior who draws full figures without rocket launchers who swear even more.

And it was Good.
